The time required to obtain an ID card has been reduced from 14 days to just 3 days.

This innovation was launched by IdentiTek, the state-owned biometric document production company, which introduced a new accelerated identity service for Albanian citizens.
Through this service, for a fee of 3,000 ALL, any citizen can obtain an electronic ID card within 3 days.
The service aims to streamline and expedite the application process and assist citizens in urgent need of identification documents. This fast-track procedure is particularly beneficial for expatriates staying in Albania for a short period of time, as well as for anyone who needs to obtain an ID card quickly for personal, professional or administrative reasons.
Committed to innovation and improved access to services, IdentiTek, under the Ministry of Interior, seeks to be closer to citizens by offering products and services that improve their daily lives.
The application can be made at any IdentiTek office across Albania through a simple process:
• Purchase the expedited service coupon.
• Present your old document or a self-declaration of loss/theft from e-Albania.
• Apply at any IdentiTek office.
• Pick up the new ID card at the same office where you applied.
This service is available to all Albanian citizens, including:
• First-time applicants for an electronic ID card.
• Those renewing expired documents.
• Those replacing an ID card due to expiration, damage, or loss.
